JTMedia

Privacy policy

Short and concrete: what details JTMedia keeps about you, why, for how long, and what your rights are. This site uses no cookies and no trackers.

Who is responsible

Responsible for processing your data is JTMedia, VAT BE 0764.810.653, operating area West Flanders. For any question about your data or about this policy, email [email protected]. The company’s full address is available on request and appears in the public Belgian company register (KBO/BCE).

What data and why

The contact form

If you fill in the form on this site, you provide: your name, your email address, your message, and optionally your phone number and company name. If you come from the price calculator or the Website Check, your choices or the checked web address and its score are included too; you can see this in the form before you send it. That data is used solely to handle your enquiry and get in touch with you. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible agreement.

The preparation form

If you schedule an introductory meeting, JTMedia may send you a link to a more detailed questionnaire about your business and your website (in Dutch). What you fill in there (besides your name and email address, mainly details about your business) reaches JTMedia as an email and is used only to prepare the meeting and the quote. While you fill it in, your answers are saved in your own browser, on your own device, so you can continue later; they are removed there as soon as you send them. Same legal basis as above.

Visitor statistics

For visitor figures this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It works without cookies and without building a profile of you: it only counts which pages are visited, aggregated and anonymous. No cookie notice is needed as a result.

Technical data

As with any website, the hosting service temporarily processes technical data (such as your IP address) in order to serve the site and protect it against abuse. That data is not linked to your enquiry.

The Website Check

The free Website Check looks at your website automatically, roughly the way an ordinary visitor would: up to 10 pages, at both computer and smartphone size. For two parts of the assessment (how clear the text comes across, how persuasive the main button is), a small piece of text from the homepage is automatically assessed by Cloudflare’s AI service, the same party as the hosting below, so not an extra third party. The content of your pages itself is never stored, only a summary result (for example "3 images are missing a description").

To measure and improve the service, JTMedia also keeps a limited set of anonymous, technical data per scan: the scanned web address, the score and category scores, and the timestamp. This happens without storing a name, email address or IP address.

If you request the full report by email, JTMedia stores that email address, linked to that one scan. Resend (the same processor used for the contact form below) sends that report on JTMedia’s behalf. When requesting it, you can separately and explicitly tick whether JTMedia may contact you afterwards; without that separate consent, JTMedia only uses the address to deliver the report. Both kinds of data are deleted after at most 24 months (automatically, not only as a promise), unless a client relationship results from it.

Who it’s shared with

JTMedia does not sell or rent your data and does not use it for advertising. To run the site and handle your message, a limited number of processors are used:

  • Cloudflare: hosting the site and delivering the form message (servers within the EU where possible).
  • Resend: the service that sends the form message as an email to JTMedia’s mailbox.
  • JTMedia’s email hosting partner: where the mailbox [email protected] runs and your message arrives.

Each processor handles your data only on JTMedia’s instructions and under a data processing agreement.

How long it’s kept

A message via the form stays in JTMedia’s mailbox for as long as it’s useful for following up your query, and is deleted afterwards, as a rule within 24 months, unless a client relationship results from it. In that case the statutory retention periods for administration and invoicing apply.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to see the data JTMedia holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted and to object to the processing. Email [email protected]; you’ll get a reply within a month.

If you disagree with how JTMedia handles your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
